Noah ~ Lead Singer & Guitarist Melbourne
Noah ~ Lead Singer & Guitarist Melbourne – is one of newer band members at Celestial Band, having joined our team in 2020. Originally from New Jersey, Noah began playing guitar in his early teens. Obsessed and heavily influenced by the alternative rock of the early 90’s, and the classic rock coming out of his Mum’s record collection, there was no shortage of material and inspiration.
Noah began playing in rock bands in Los Angeles in his mid 20’s. As the lead guitarist for the Cold Chills, he was part of two albums and played landmark spots on the Sunset strip such as The Viper Room and The Roxy. Shortly after starting with the Cold Chills, Noah began to find a deep connection with the acoustic guitar. While the Cold Chills gave him an outlet for the heavy ripping energy of electric guitar, the introspective finger picking of an acoustic guitar allowed for a different type of expression. In 2012 Noah released his first solo EP “Rip the Band-Aid Off” with Grammy award winning producer Phil Allen out of Harmony Studios Los Angeles (Available on all platforms).

As he continued his journey into song writing and solo performance, Noah began busking at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. While busking was a great avenue for Noah to showcase his song writing, it also gave him a chance to cover songs by some of his favourite artists and influences such as Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, The White Stripes, Radiohead, Fleetwood Mac, Dire Straits, Smashing Pumpkins and more. In his progression as a busker, Noah began exploring looping and foot percussion which he now employs regularly in his live performances.
In 2014, he formed his current band Scotch Jane playing a hybrid of Rock N Roll, Folk, and Psychedelic music. During this time, he also founded SoundRide Studio where he engineered for himself and other LA artists. He also used his studio space to film live performances of originals and covers by himself and other local artists. You can check these performances out on YouTube at “Live from SoundRide” on Scotch Jane’s home page. Noah has written and produced two albums for Scotch Jane “The Lo-Fi Psychedelic Folk Ride” and “Vegas Gets the Birds” (Available on all platforms).
After moving to Australia, Noah regularly frequented Melbourne’s most famous busking locations. These include The Bourke Street Mall and Queen Victoria Market. Noah continues to write and produce music as a solo artist and with Scotch Jane. His latest solo album “Paper Soul“, is streaming on Spotify. Noah plays a wide variety of music. Everything from rock, to pop, country, R&B and soul tunes. No song is too hard for him to learn. Noah’s vocal skills and his musicianship on guitar are second to none (he also plays piano). He is confident as a Soloist, in an Acoustic Duo, and also in our full band line-up. He is an amazing band member, and a hard worker. Having now become a regular member of Celestial Band, Noah will be featured at a huge number of our client’s weddings and special events across 2021 and 2022.
It’s Going to be Perfect!
